This full-bodied red wine is made from hand-picked grapes (70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre) from the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards in the Southern Rhône valley. Each grape variety is vinified separately, before being blended and aged in oak barrels for 15 months. Grenache dominates the nose with notes of strawberry, orange marmalade and candied fruit. The palate is rich, almost opulent, whilst the Syrah gives it the power and precision. The barrel ageing helps soften the tannins and gives a rich bouquet of vanilla. Pair this fine wine with meats such as roast lamb, prime rib eye steak, duck breast or game. Can be drunk now or put it under the stairs for up to 5 years.
